Exercises

Helpful material provided by Mikko Valtonen regarding UMTS.

There will be three exercise rounds during the course. The exercises are voluntary, but your final course grade will be: exam grade + 0.2 * exercises grade. However, points won't help you pass the course, i.e. you need at least grade 1 from the exam to pass.

You need to return your solutions on the deadline day not later than at 16.00 to the return box on the 2nd floor outside Communications Laboratory (from 1.1.2008 officially Department of Communications and Networking).

1st round (deadline 5.2.)     + solutions
2nd round (deadline 26.2.)  + solutions
3rd round (deadline 4.3.)    + solutions

Manual assignment

No computer assignments will be held since we didn't get the licenses. They will be replaced by a manual assignment.

To complete the manual assignment you have to select 2 of the 3 exercises given in the zip-file below and return them by 29.2. at 16.00. The results (pass/fail) will be given by 7.3. If you don't pass we will need you to make the required corrections by 12.3. at 16.00. It doesn't matter which 2 you choose, they are all equally valuable.
